Iowa OER, an action team composed of representatives from several colleges in the state including Iowa State University, has recently announced its first webinar in a new series for faculty and staff interested in Open Education:
When: Friday, November 1st, 1:00 pm-2:00 pm
Where: Online Conference Call via Zoom (shared on YouTube)
The first webinar will have a guest speaker from Kirkwood Community College, Kate Hess, speaking about her experience starting up an OER initiative in a small Iowa college.

According to the group's website, Iowa OER "is working to make higher education more affordable for students in the state of Iowa by advocating for the use of open educational resources (OER) in addition to other affordability initiatives."
