Case Study

Kelly Reddy-Best created new open educational resources for her 100-level AMD course, Dress, Appearance, and Diversity in Society, thanks to the support of a Miller Open Education Mini-Grant. As part of her grant, she developed 10 open-source videos on YouTube and an open handbook published on the Iowa State University Digital Press' platform, Pressbooks. According to Reddy-Best, her students had an exceptionally positive response to the exercises involving the created videos, and appreciated not having to pay for their course text.
