Creating and Implementing Open Educational Resources for AMD 165

Contributors

The purpose of this Miller Mini-Grant project was to create Open Educational Resources (OER) for AMD 165: Dress, Appearance, and Diversity in Society. I created 10 openly licensed videos for my class assignments and published an open Pressbook for my class through the Iowa State University Digital Press. I also created application exercises for each unit of my class. The impact is that students do not have to pay for an expensive textbook for my class, and students had an exceptionally positive response to the exercises involving the created videos.

  1. My YouTube channel hosts the ten videos on fashion and identity created for the course.
  2. Dress, Appearance, and Diversity in Society includes the readings for the course and the application activities.
